I am always a fan of product that can be used in multiple settings. This is another fine example of such a product that can prove useful to a GM. Quick easy and space efficient.

Expanding Your RPG Options – Gaming in the Digital World
I asked my friend over at Rolling Boxcars to share some of his knowledge with us about RPG’S in the Digital World. By now like me, many of you have probably tryed your hand at a digital game or two. But as more and more gamers are turning to the Internet for their tabletop fix. Let my friend Modoc show you around a bit. With up to 5 digital games a week some weeks he’s a great go too veteran of the subject.
I have been asked on more than one occasion about the resources out there for the uninitiated online RPG gamer so, this essay will highlight some of the many resources that I have used over the last few years. I will make every effort to highlight the good and bad, the gorgeous and the ugly. In the end, I hope it will all be very useful information for anyone wanting to expand their gaming horizons. So, without further ado, let’s begin with a few definitions that will help as we move further into this essay.
Definitions:
Play by Post (PbP)– Games conducted on message board or some other text-based website
Play by Forum (PbF) – Same a Play by Post, just a different name
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) – Games played via audio/video conferencing software
Virtual Table Top (VTT) – Internet application that allows GMs to use maps…

[Friday Map] The Temple Complex Ruins
Dysons maps are some of the best your going to find for fantasy hands down. There is something about the style that he uses. When you look at a Dyson map you feel like an adventurer scouting your next destination.
If you have not seen his projects get over there and take a look. And if you like his work and can spare the change support his awesome skills with the Patreon project he has set up.
The Temple Ruins (with overlays)
Ancient temples fallen to ruin hidden deep in the jungle. Sounds like the setup for any number of pulp adventures and one I haven’t drawn nearly enough of (although I’ve run a fair number of adventures over the years with this exact premise… or the “twist” of it being an ancient palace instead of a temple).
I’m not sure how well I got my mental image across in this map in the end. The idea is that the front-most two buildings on the left are two stories tall with their lower stories mostly collapsed rubble, and the central piece being a second-story bridge that connects the two sides. But regardless of the success or failure of getting that multi-level vision across, the final map is still one I quite like and look forward to using in a game…
