DM Support Group.
Okay, I admit it I have sat around with other DM's and collaborated. Some great times. BUT NEVER like this HaHa ! Needless to say the more GM's out there needing help like this guy. We all have met the GM that can't say no.
Appendix N Kickstarter – Almost as Bad as Mike Nystul’s Campaigns!
Kickstarter is a wonderful playground of awesome things. Yet with all things awesome. Some have one always has to come along and remind you how crappy some people can be. I didn’t back the full project but I split the kick with my friend and lets just say.. WOW hes a lot more dissatisfied then me. For all the right reasons.
So, the shit storm related to the botched Appendix N Kickstarter continues. The owner of Brave Halfling Press, John, has once again assured backers that still haven’t received their first shipment that it was coming. We continue to hear this time and again from John; what a lousy execution of the a Kickstarter campaign. For the longest time, I was an ardent supporter and dismissed the many delays, but my patience finally wore thin some ago and I blogged about it here and here .

In response to my blog posts, a package mysteriously appeared at the door one day and I finally had the first of what is supposed to be two shipments, read about it here. So, I can really sympathize with those that have not gotten their packages, but I wonder how many new and uniques ways he’ll come up with to botch the remaining…

The Star Wars-Games Workshop Mashup? Is there any truth to the rumour?
I had my day with the GW I cut my teeth with my first war games killing Orc’s and Elves. But the thought of the Emperors own game company pulling the product to the Dark Side of Mini gaming. Is truly Terrifying.
I think like you that the game could have a very good draw to a War game community. But I think there are others out there that could handle the product better.
As we have seen FFG has done a great job with Attack wing..But it looks like Rebel assault was poorly handled.
I personally would like to see a company like Privater Press. Try their hand at it,as they are great at small unit style game play. Where I think Star Wars would thrive at most tables.

If you haven’t been living in a cave on Dagobah for the last year or so, you’ll know that Disney/Lucasfilm movie machine is now kicked into gear. The Force Awakens (also known as Episode VII) is set for a 15th of December 2015 release at the cinemas. Great news for Star Wars fans, eager to see the continuing adventures of Luke, and his space chums, even better news for Wargamers if the hushed rumours on the net end up being true.
I’ve been hearing bits about the possibility of Games Workshop getting the license to produce a miniature wargame about said franchise. So how much truth is there to the myth?
West End Games’ Star Wars Miniatures Battles game.
I think if it happened, it would lure me back (even at their prices) as well as a lot of others too. I can imagine some pretty nice tasty…

Weather Phenomenons in RPGs Episode.034
Excellent article ! Weather is just one more tool in a GM box of tricks to make a memorable scene! Great read thank you !
For the past hour, you have kept an eye on the approaching storm through the partially shuttered window of Killian Tavern dreading the worst. Slow as it may be, the latest arriving caravan reports it was far more powerful than usual as they could see trees falling over from a distance as they just outraced it by a few dozen miles. The atmosphere of the tavern this evening is grim as the news from the storm has even the heartiest men worried of the structure of the building – the only source of protection for dozens of miles. Barchlet, the tavern owner, has announced the small fruit cellar has as many ladies and kids as it can hold with a few remaining in the main hall. You know there is little else to do but hope it isn’t as bad as the reports. Suddenly there is a loud crash on…

All Things Obscure: Forgotten What?
I for a good number of years still had the Forgotten Realms Atlas CD. I wish I still did. It was amazing for its time. And still would impress most GM’s
We’re back for another round of obscure gaming stuff. This time we’ll be briefly exploring three Forgotten Realms supplements that are obscure and may be worthy supplements for youth table.
Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas – This CD-ROM supplement didn’t get much exposure or made the wide rounds when it was first released, but this is one product many Forgotten Realms fanatics wish to have. Most definitely a collection worthy item, but also a worthy item for use at the game table. This atlas was originally released in 1999 and it would be awesome if it was revised with modern graphics.
Ninja Wars – This is truly one of the most obscure Forgotten Realms modules. Ninja Wars never saw wide distribution. This was released at a time when B-rated kung-fu movies were on the rise. Not surprised that TSR tried to take advantage of the interest in ninjas. Not sure this module is one…
