Inspired by the recent “cold Vortex” !!! Winter is coming is my first mini adventure for the blog. Each day I will post another encounter. These can all be used individually, or tied together for a short adventure. Enjoy!

The players are in the far northern reaches in a village called Frostport. The winter season has set in and the pass to the south is blocked until the first melts. The party managed to get here with the last supplies of the winter or the town. Unfortunately they did not make it south in time before the weather had blocked the pass for the season.

To make maters worse a portion of the supplies the party delivered to Frostport was to be delivered to a small group of family’s a few days further ride to the north. The weather has made travel impossible for the last few weeks.  Frostport was dangerously low on supplies as it was. And the worst has been feared with each passing day. The sun shines and the weather breaks near the end of the third week. Encouraged the party is asked to rush the supplies to the family’s in need.

Unfortunately when the players arrive they encounter the worst. Everyone is dead and it looks like wolves have eaten most of the remains. They head back to Frostport to deliver the bad news. On the return trip they feel often as if they are being watched, almost hunted. That is because they are.

Two of the family members survived, but they are no longer what they once were. They have committed the most heinous of acts and now are Windigo. They follow the party back to Frostport where over the next few days they try to kill and eat as many villagers as they are able.
