Elemental Evil Storyline

Wizards announced today the next storyline in the 5E rules set. The Temple of Elemental Evil. Oh boy, you by now have read most of the details but this one gets me going ! I must be lucky this year because WOTC have hit each of storylines that I have wanted to run recently right out the gate.  I have no objections as it looks like this will be a system I am running for a good long while.  With my homebrew world based on a dragon creation myth and that the dragons tamed the world from the elements. It should make a nice fit for my game to plug this storyline right into my existing world after the Rise of the Dragon Queen storyline.

So that’s what I had to say about it.. here some tasty bits from WOTC.

Characters in the D&D tabletop roleplaying game can help prevent devastation to the lands and people of the Forgotten Realms in the Princes of the Apocalypse adventure by Wizards of the Coast and Sasquatch Game Studio. Princes of the Apocalypse is available on April 7, 2015 and includes an epic adventure for characters levels 1–15 as well as new elemental spells and the element-touched genasi as a new playable race. In addition, a free download will be available in mid-March that includes more new races plus the player content available in Princes of the Apocalypse, just in time for the start of the Elemental Evil season of the D&D Adventurers League.

One take away here is with the slated Adventures Guide book being pulled from the product line. I think the content that we would have gotten from that book is the Free downloadable content that will include new races and spells.
